Dear Trinity Members and Friends,

Below is information about Trinity Lutheran Ministry’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We know that in times of uncertainty, we lean on our faith in extra measure, we look for comfort and peace, and to share that with others.  We still want to nourish our faith during these times, but we must also do our share to halt the spread of this virus.  Please read carefully the below plans for Trinity.

Weekend Worship Services

Starting immediately, we will only offer LIVE STREAM worship, at 9:30 AM on Sundays.  There will be no Saturday worship.  This will continue through Sunday, April 26.

Holy Week Services

Maundy Thursday – Drive-in communion at Trinity Lutheran School, available from 4:00-6:00 PM.  A brief confession and absolution will be included, and cars will be offered prepackaged communion kits.

Good Friday –  LIVE STREAM worship at 6:30 PM.

Easter Sunday – LIVE STREAM worship at 9:30 AM.

All Other In-Person Ministries

All other gatherings for things like Bible Studies, Ladies Aid, Quilting, etc, are suspended during this time.  As we let you know about worship services, we will also let you know about our ministries.

School

Governor Whitmer has closed schools through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.  Trinity’s staff continues to offer teaching and other connections through technology such as Google Classroom and Zoom discussions. You may follow their activities on Facebook TLSJackson .

Early Childhood Center (ECC)

The Early Childhood Center will remain closed as long as the “stay at home” order is in effect for Michigan.

Trinity’s Finances

These are very serious times not only for the world but for Trinity Lutheran Ministries as well.  Watch for further information on how you can help, but please, our expenses do not stop at a time like this, so please find ways to continue to provide your offerings, via mail or electronic.

Church Office

The church office is using a combination of work-from-home and in-office support.  Messages are checked daily.  If you have to contact the church office for any need, please call 517-784-3135 or email: holesoa.tlm@gmail.com.

New Ways To Stay Connected

Daily Devotions: Trinity has started a new connection ministry during this time of being asked to "stay at home". Each day of the week except Sunday, you can share a recorded devotion with a Trinity leader, accessible from our Trinity website. The devotions are about 3-4 minutes with a prayer at the end. It is our way of sharing some time with each of you, sharing God's word, and providing a message of hope and strength. From the website, www.tlmjackson.com, click on the Media button along the top, and click Daily Devotions. Check back each day for a new devotion.

Prayer Requests: Do you have a prayer request? You have the option of sending it to us online.  From the website, www.tlmjackson.com, click on the CONNECT button along the top, select Prayer Requests and fill out the form. You may also share an update to your prayer request by returning to this form and sharing.

Messages for Church Office:  Do you need to send a message to the church office?  You have the option of sending it to us online.  From the website, www.tlmjackson.com, click on the CONNECT button along the top, then select Connect with Trinity and fill out the form.

Now, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)

God’s continued blessings and peace,

Phil Moilanen and Pastor Kurt
